Regenerating space to generate new opportunities for the territory

To regenerate a space means to create new possibilities — for the territory, the economy and innovation. The Harmonic Innovation Hub is a symbolic project in this regard: 20,000 square meters regenerated and €35 million invested to build an infrastructure designed to activate shared value.

Developed by Harmonic Innovation Group, with which eFM has long maintained a partnership and co-design relationship, the Harmonic Innovation Hub extends far beyond the boundaries of a single redevelopment project. It represents a true urban regeneration initiative, rooted in historical memory and in a past very different from the innovation-driven vision it now seeks to realize.

The project represents a major challenge for eFM,” explains Valentina Gingardi, Urban Regeneration Manager. “It is not just about making a space functional — it’s about influencing what happens within it, creating content, experiences and programming dedicated to innovation.”

For eFM, a key goal is to implement our Service Governance model — an approach consolidated in the office and tertiary sectors and now brought to serve an innovative environment, where the governance of spaces and services is digitally enabled and aimed at generating new connections and experiences.

This vision is shared by Pasqualino Scaramuzzino, President of Harmonic Innovation Group, who emphasizes: “Space must be conceived as an ecosystem open, inclusive and capable of generating value through the presence and collaboration of diverse stakeholders.”

The same principle applies to both private and public domains. As Paolo Praticò, Director General for Economic Development of the Calabria Region, notes: “Innovation is not a linear process. We need distributed environments capable of fostering meaningful connections between enterprises and public administration.

At eFM, we are deeply committed to innovation processes and programs. We believe that the regeneration of spaces must go hand in hand with the creation of dynamic, inclusive and open experiences, capable of generating shared value and stimulating new ecosystems.

The Harmonic Innovation Hub embodies precisely this vision: a regenerated place that becomes a platform. In the video, the voices of Giovanni Trombetta, Head of Research and Innovation Project Development at Etna Hitech and Salvatore Garozzo, Public Tender Expert at Etna Hitech, further enrich the vision of the Hub as an open, inclusive environment, a true generator of new ideas and opportunities.
